The WWS Trust would like to extend their sincere appreciation for the generous gift of his lovely dinghy for use as a tender for the “Kate”.
From Bernard: “We anchored off Motuihe for lunch and tried her out – wind NW 15 knots, with mainsail only and half centreboard she balanced nicely, I was pleased at how stable she is, and how dry in a chop.
This has solved a major problem we had, what to do about a tender for the “Kate”. The traditional lines of the Okura Gig fit perfectly with the heritage value of the “Kate”. She will be able to transport the whole crew ashore and back in 2 trips using the outboard, and will be useful for teaching basic rowing and sailing skills.
Your generosity has given us a big boost, enabling us to revise our budget for further fund-raising.”
